Specimen Poster Research

Type Specimen is the way of knowing what a typeface looks like before going ahead and purchasing it. The specimen posters display the full character complement; it is more like a sample of the typeface arranged in different manner and sizes to show the potential of the fonts.

Also here are some examples of students type specimen poster from the previous years.

Below I have various typographic poster examples, I have found and redrew their layouts in order to learn the grid systems of each poster. Also, I have chosen specific ones as I found them quite abstract and slightly unusual.

Here are some less complex designs. These posters make great use of the letterforms in order to create meanings and connections within the context of each poster.
